RECENT WORK

Hey, internet people. Commissions are open and will be indefinitely. Send me an email if you're interested at scottygod@gmail.com.

BAM! New content!

It's been confirmed that at least one soul reads this blog with any sort of regularity, so I thought I'd make an attempt to post on a regular basis in 2012. And up first are a couple of commissions, Dracula and Dr. Fate.

The last half of 2011 was spent working on stuff for private corporations and institutions, which prefer that I not share any of the work they've paid for. Fair enough. But it doesn't leave me anything to show you, fine reader.

I mean to remedy that. Now, one way to post more content is to take and produce more commission work (wink, wink). If you decide you can't live another minute without a custom Godlewski piece, email me and we'll get something worked out.

Another way to generate more original content is to finally start that weekly webcomic I've been teasing for years. Some buddies and I have an avenue to do so, we just need to hunker down and get moving. If you'd be interested in seeing Green Ghost or Phantom Ace return, drop me a line. There are a couple other things I'd like to get off the ground, too. We'll see how that shakes out.

Lastly, I'm finally starting to collect some polished pieces for my upcoming sketchbook, Two-Fisted Art Vol. 2, which should debut at the 2012 Phoenix Comicon. If  you missed the first volume, you can find it here. Clearly, not everything included in that book will make it here, as I still want you to buy the damn thing. But I'll make sure some of it finds it way to the blog.

Anyway, so long 2011. Here's to a better 2012.

It is with great shame that I admit to having never seen this movie. I hear good things and it's on my list. And this poster for 1925's The Phantom of the Opera only whets my appetite. Gorgeous.

I fully endorse cephalopod-inspired monsters, so 1970's Yog, Monster From Space deserves a spot here. Using "spewed" and "terror tentacles" doesn't hurt, either. Great poster.

My buddy Daryl Gregory sent this to me a while back and I just couldn't find the time for it until recently. Hot damn, this was a great book. For real, you guys, Daryl's "anti-zombie" book is the best thing I've read in a long while. Do yourselves a tremendous favor and pick it up.
